REDLANDS, Calif. – University of Redlands senior starting pitcher Tyler Reiter (San Diego, CA) continues to haul in the postseason accolades as he was selected as a 2023 5th Team All-American announced by D3baseball.com.   

Reiter on the year was named 1st Team All-SCIAC, 1st Team All-West Region (d3baseball.com), 2nd Team All-West Region (ABCA/Rawlings), and now becomes a 5th Team All-American (d3baseball.com) for the first time in his career.

A total of 1,106 players were nominated for the 15th Annual D3baseball.com All-America team and he is only one of two Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) players selected, joining Claremont-M-S' Julian Sanders (3rd Team).

Reiter went 7-1 on the year in 11 starts, had four complete games, throwing 74 Innings, giving up just 15 runs (12 earned) with 69 strikeouts and a 1.46 ERA.  He had an 8.39 K/9 Inning rate, posted the fifth lowest ERA in program history and the ninth most complete games in program history. 

He led the SCIAC in ERA and complete games and was second in wins.  Back on March 21 he was named the SCIAC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete game shutout (5-0) over Luther College where he struck out 11, had an 11.00 K/9 inning rate and a perfect 0.00 ERA.    

Redlands finished the season 18-20, 10-14 SCIAC and placed sixth within the final conference standings.
