Redlands Rewind with Greta Jursch: March 10, 2018

As a precursor to the upcoming winter and spring sports, senior Greta Jursch reflects on her most memorable race during the track & field season in this week's Redlands Rewind.  Jursch, who competes in both cross country and track & field at the University of Redlands, vividly remembers running the 10k on March 10, 2018, at the Oxy Distance Carnival.

"It was 10 p.m., pouring rain, and extremely windy. Everyone had a long day and was eager to go home. Yet, for all 25 laps [of the 10k], I had teammates toughing out the weather to cheer me on. I've never felt so supported as I did then," Jursch said.

During her first season with Redlands track & field, Jursch completed the challenging race in 44:54.52 as one of four Bulldogs in the field.  Later that season, she went on to post a career-best time in that event at the 2018 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships by crossing the finish line at 41:43.17 for seventh place.
