Cargile Garners SCIAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after First-Place Finish

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) office announced its weekly awards and junior Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) earned men's cross country Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this season and third time in his career.

Cargile topped the competition at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational with an 8k time of 25:24.0, which was nearly four seconds faster than the next finisher. The meet featured five other SCIAC teams and three Division II schools. Cargile has bettered his time at this race in each of his last three years. During his sophomore season, he finished in 26:14.1, while stopping the clock in 27:01.0 in his rookie campaign with the Bulldogs.
