Holly Kvanvig and Tori Zielinski named ACWPC Honorable Mention All-Americans

2022 ACWPC Div. III All-Americans 

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced their All-American teams for Women's Water Polo this week with senior attacker Holly Kvanvig (Beaverton, OR) and junior goalie Tori Zielinski (Sunnyvale, CA) earning Honorable Mention recognition.

Kvanvig has now been named an ACWPC All-American for the second time in her career after being selected Honorable Mention in 2021.  This season she played in all 20 games leading the Bulldogs with 38 Goals and 13 Assists.  She provided 51 Points, a .365 Shot Percentage, three drawn exclusions and 10 Steals.

Over her career she has combined for 106 Goals, 35 Assists, a .353 Shot Percentage, 21 Drawn Exclusions, and 36 Steals. 

Zielinski finds herself as an All-American for the first time in her career.  The dual sport athlete who is also a midfielder on the Women's Soccer team was the primary goalie for the Maroon and Grey.  She played and started in 18 games between the posts totaling 155 saves, a .497 Save Percentage, 16 Steals and an 8.85 Goals Against Average.  She was also recognized as the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week twice.

In her three seasons she has totaled 290 Saves, a .493 Save Percentage, a 9.30 Goals Against Average, 25 Steals and has played 1025 Minutes.                    

Redlands finished the year in sixth place within the conference standings with an 8-13, 5-9 SCIAC record.  Throughout the season they had a four game winning streak, which included wins over Carthage, Augustana, Macalester, and Caltech.  They also held 12 opponents to single digits, three of which came in their final four games against Chapman, Caltech and Occidental.
