The University of Redlands women's water polo team opened the season on a positive note, as senior attacker Hunter Olivier (Indio, CA) earned the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Olivier tallied a team-high five steals in an 11-8 victory against Ottawa University (AZ) on Saturday. She also showcased her all-around game by matching a game-high three goals in her performance.

Redlands (1-0) hosts the Bulldog Invitational and plays in three games, starting with Cal State University Northridge on Saturday, February 15, at 1:40 p.m.
