The University of Redlands women's water polo team continued its challenging slate of non-conference foes by competing in the Claremont Convergence Tournament in Claremont.  On Friday, the Bulldogs took on Cal State University Monterey Bay and Concordia University – Irvine and then battled against Sonoma State University and No. 15 Long Beach State University on Saturday.

Although the Maroon and Gray dropped all four matches, the team remains committed to daily improvement as it prepares for Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) competition.

Overall, four players notched a multi-goal performance in the weekend tournament, with senior utility player Deandra Van Houten (Huntington Beach, CA) leading the offense with seven total netters during four games played.  Junior utility player Taylor Christie (Anaheim, CA) and junior attack Meg Claypool (Portland, OR) stepped up with six goals apiece, while senior attack Tricia Bannister (Naperville, IL) added three.

Junior goalkeeper AC Lopez (Northridge, CA) patrolled the cage for the Maroon and Gray, making 13 stops in Friday's games.  Saves were not available for Saturday's contests.

Redlands (0-12) looks forward to playing in the friendly confines of the Thompson Aquatic Center on Monday, March 11, at 5 p.m. when it faces off against George Washington University (DC).
