The University of Redlands women's water polo team continued its difficult early-season schedule with solid competition at Cal Baptist University over the weekend.  The Bulldogs faced the host Lancers and No. 3 USC on Friday, before taking on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Cal State University Bakersfield on Saturday.  The Bulldogs lost all four contests by significant margins, with the tightest result coming in a 9-17 decision against the familiar foes from CMS.

Senior utility player Deandra Van Houten (Huntington Beach, CA) led the Redlands offense with seven goals on the weekend.  Junior utility player Taylor Christie (Anaheim, CA) added four scores, while senior attack player Tricia Bannister (Naperville, IL) provided two.

Junior goalkeeper AC Lopez (Northridge, CA) battled through a tough weekend, amassing 20 saves in four games.

Redlands (0-7) returns to action on Sunday when it hosts Cal State Northridge in a 1 p.m. match at the Thompson Aquatic Center.
