Junior Libero Ally Busch Named to the All-SCIAC Women's Volleyball First Team

It was announced on Monday that junior libero Ally Busch (Long Beach, CA) was named to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) First Team for her stellar contributions throughout the 2019 University of Redlands women's volleyball season.

Busch is the only libero among the nine-woman list of First-Team honorees.

During the Bulldogs' 5-11 conference season, which was the program's best mark since 2010, Busch patrolled the back row as a consistent and skillful defender.  While competing in all 16 SCIAC matches, she totaled 330 digs for an average of 6.0 digs per set.  She also dished out 53 assists and scored 24 service aces.

Busch tallied as many as 36 digs in a conference match and tallied 12 or more in 15 matches.

Overall, Busch averaged 6.29 digs per set, which landed her eighth in all of NCAA Division III and first in the conference.  She tallied a conference-best 584 digs in 27 matches played.

Busch becomes Redlands' first women's volleyball First-Teamer since 2010.
