The No. 26 University of Redlands women's tennis team capped off the regular season with a road match at No. 7 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Saturday morning.  Unfortunately, the final result was not a positive one, as the Bulldogs fell in a 0-9 decision.

The top duo of sophomore Sarah Ikioka (Wailuku, HI) and junior Elizabeth Johnson (Portland, OR) put up the tightest doubles score in an 8-4 loss.

First-year Karen Kobayashi (Sappora, Japan) took eight games off her No. 5 singles opponent (6-4, 6-4), while Ikioka managed to win seven in a 6-3, 6-4 defeat at the No 1 slot.

Redlands (11-9, 5-2 SCIAC) enters the first-ever Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Women's Tennis Tournament as the No. 3 seed and must face the Sagehens in a rematch on the road on Friday, May 4, at 1 p.m.
