REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Soccer team saw their two-game winning streak come to an end Wednesday night falling 3-0 on the road at Chapman University.

All three tallies for the Panthers came in the first half as the Bulldogs drop to 4-6, 3-4 SCIAC.  They end their four game road trip going 2-1, which included a postponement against Caltech.  The Maroon and Grey are still in contention for the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament as they sit in 5th place three points out of 4th.

The Bulldogs put themselves in an early hole, conceding the opener in the 10th minute. Despite the early deficit, UR was the team adding the pressure on goal soon after, with the next two shots coming from first-year Malia Kuhl (Sammamish, Wash.) and junior Tori Zielinski (Sunnyvale, Calif.)

In the 27th minute the Panthers added another this time from Emily Stocker and would tack on insurance right before the half with Erin Wilbanks finishing off a touch from Lily Jose.

Trailing in the second half U of R got to work quickly getting the first two shots of the period courtesy of senior Tristen Sherley (Novato, Calif.) in the 55th minute and junior Taylor Pisan (Redmond, Wash) in the 56th minute. Unfortunately Sherley saw her shot sail high over the crossbar and Pisan had hers stopped by CU keeper Kelsey Bland.

The Bulldogs managed four shots for the game with two on goal. Junior Courtney Stewart (San Jose, Calif.) faced 21 shots collecting seven saves all coming in the first half.

Redlands return to Farquhar Field this Saturday, October 16 when they begin a three game home stand starting with Caltech (11:00am).
