Celine Flaig named SCIAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week in the fourth week of voting and University of Redlands junior Celine Flaig (Redondo Beach, CA) was named the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career. 

Flaig propelled the University of Redlands offense in a pair of wins on the week topping Worcester State, 17-11, before earning a 14-13 overtime win over Occidental College in SCIAC play. Flaig netted 12 goals during the two-game stretch including seven in the win over the Lancers, and another five in the win over the Tigers, which included the game-winner in overtime. Flaig also added seven groundballs, nine draw controls, and caused seven turnovers in the two wins. 

Redlands returns to action tomorrow, Tuesday, March 22 when they travel to take on Chapman University beginning at 4:00pm looking to win their third game in a row.
