First-year Celine Flaig Tabbed SCIAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon and first-year midfielder Celine Flaig (Redondo Beach, CA) has been named the Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in her young career at the University of Redlands.

Flaig scored four of Redlands' nine goals on Saturday in the close loss to Chapman. All of the goals were unassisted including her successful free-position shot. She also dished out an assist, picked up four ground balls, caused four opponent turnovers, and snagged two draw controls in an impressive and balanced outing.

At 10:53 in the first, Flaig broke up one of Chapman's clear attempts, caused the turnover, picked up the ground ball, and scored a goal only five seconds later.
