The University of Redlands women's lacrosse team continued its Spring Break trip on Monday evening by taking on the Hendrix College (AR) Warriors in a non-conference tilt.  The Bulldogs broke open a 4-4 halftime score with a 9-0 run in the second half to secure a 13-4 victory over the Warriors.

After sophomore midfielder Hanna Morford (West Linn, OR) and senior attack player Dulce Moll (Mercer Island, WA) accounted for the Bulldogs' four first-half goals, the Maroon and Gray took its first lead of the game when junior midfielder Lacey Bjorndal (Sherwood, OR) converted a free-position shot exactly one minute into the second half.  This opportunity was set up when junior defender Katie Koehler (Jackson, WY) forced a Warrior turnover, which evolved into a good clear by the Bulldog defense.

By the 20-minute mark, Redlands held an 8-4 advantage off of additional scores by Moll, freshman midfielder Sadie Pickering (Tacoma, WA), and Bjorndal.

Following two more netters each by Morford and Moll, the Bulldogs capped off their dominating offensive performance with a free-position goal by senior midfielder Breanne Rideout (San Diego, CA).  On two of Redlands' earlier scores, she offered the assist for a sweet combination in front of the Warriors' net.

The Bulldogs' defensive efforts caused plenty of trouble for the home team, as highlighted by Pickering, Morford, sophomore midfielder Kelsey Ruhl (Seattle, WA), sophomore attack player Adi Fellows (Albuquerque, NM) and others forced the Warriors to cough up possession during the second half.

Freshman midfielder Chelsea Sahami (Millbrae, CA) and Bjorndal hauled in 10 of the team's 13 draw controls in an impressive effort.

Junior goalkeeper Quinn Egan (Greenwood Village, CO) patrolled the Bulldog cage for five saves against nine shots on-goal.  Freshman goalkeeper Lindsay Hope (Portland, OR) also provided one save in her six-minute stint between the posts.

Redlands (2-2) heads to Centre College (KY) on Wednesday, March 1, for a 1 p.m. PT showdown.
