The University of Redlands women's lacrosse team returned home to the friendly confines of Farquhar Field on Thursday night to face off against the Sewanee (TN) Tigers in a non-conference tilt.  With the score knotted at one apiece early in the game, the Bulldogs fired off 10 straight goals to take a commanding lead en route to the impressive 21-7 win.

With eight different goal-scorers in the match, the Bulldogs unleashed the most number of netters this season at 21.

Against the Tigers, freshman attack player Dulce Moll (Mercer Island, WA) got things started when she found the back of the net just over a minute into the action.

Sewanee forced a few minutes of offensive pressure against the Maroon and Gray, before finally breaking through to even the score with 24:53 left on the first-half clock.

But from here, it was all Bulldogs, as they put together a 10-goal scoring spree over the next 17 minutes.  Sophomore midfielder Stephanie Garrett (San Diego, CA) and senior midfielder Jacky Craycraft (Trabuco Canyon, CA) headed up the offensive explosion with a hat-trick each, while sophomore attack player Shannon Sunnergren (Livermore, CA) capped off the impressive run for Redlands.

Although Sewanee converted three goals before the end of the frame, the Maroon and Gray's lead remained at a comfortable eight scores at 12-4.

Redlands opened the second stanza on a 5-1 run to extend the lead to 12 with 10:38 remaining.  During this stretch, junior midfielder Emily Dalrymple (Snohomish, WA) and Craycraft both completed their four-goal performances on the night.

While utilizing 19 players, the Bulldogs cruised to the victory in the final minutes, which were highlighted by a pair of free-position goals by junior attack player Liz Keilty (Yorba Linda, CA).

Overall, sophomore midfielder Ellen Holt (Happy Valley, OR) and senior attack player Allie Hoffler (Draper, UT) provided two assists each in the win, while Moll added three goals for Redlands.

Defensively, freshmam goalkeeper Gigja Hollyday (Alisa Viejo, CA) garnered the victory after 30 solid minutes with four saves.  Sophomore goalkeeper Izzy Baez (Zionsville, IN) preserved the win with her second-half contributions.  The Bulldogs also gained excellent defensive pressure from senior Ally Leipzig (Newton, MA), junior Robin Taylor (Poway, CA), and sophomore Sam Keary (Mission Viejo, CA).

In addition, the team collected 20 draw controls, compared to the Tigers' 10, and registered a 25-18 margin in ground balls.

Redlands (6-3) hosts Carthage College (WI) on Monday, March 24, at 7 p.m. on Farquhar Field.  Fans may follow the action via live stats and web-streaming.
