CORAL SPRINGS, FL - It was announced on Tuesday by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) that three student-athletes from the University of Redlands were named All-American Scholars for their academic and athletic success during the 2021-22 season.  They are among the 1,485 recipients who met or exceeded the minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.50 as members of women's collegiate golf teams.

Junior Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) makes this list for the third consecutive season after posting a 3.78 cumulative GPA.  She is an Environmental Science major and put together yet another spectacular season being named 1st Team All-SCIAC, a WGCA 1st Team All-American, and WGCA 1st Team All-West Region.  On the year she had a 74.00 Average with a low round score of 67 while totaling a 4.95 Par 5 Scoring Average, a 3.13 Par 3 Scoring Average, and a 4.18 Par 4 Scoring Average.  She also finished the year ranked as the No. 1 player in the West Region and No. 5 nationally in Division III.      

Over her 24 rounds on the season 20 of them had scores in the 70's and another two in the 60's.  She took home the individual title in the CA State Intercollegiate (70-67 | No. 2 in program history for single-round score), followed that up with a second-place finish at the Redlands Fall Shootout (71-70 | No. 10 in program history for single-round score).  She shot a 74 at the DIII National Preview Tournament, took ninth at SCIAC No. 1 (79-73), tied for third at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Event (73-71-69 | No. 4 in program history for single-round score), took fifth at SCIAC No. 2 (84-73), and tied for fourth at the SCIAC Championships (74-70-83).

Sophomore Iris Liu (Diamond Bar, CA) becomes an All-American Scholar for the second straight year putting together a 3.86 cumulative GPA.  The Biology major had her most impressive collegiate season yet being named 1st Team All-SCIAC, a WGCA Honorable Mention All-American, and WGCA 1st Team All-West Region.  On the year she totaled a 5.04 Par 5 Scoring Average, a 3.26 Par 3 Scoring Average, and a 4.30 Par 4 Scoring Average.  She finished the year ranked No. 9 in the West Region and No. 22 nationally in Division III.       

Over her 23 rounds on the year, she averaged a 76.00, tying for seventh at the California State Intercollegiate (76-70 | No. 10 in program history for single-round score).  At the Westbrook Invitational she finished in a tie for fifth (73-75), was the third-place finisher at SCIAC No. 2 (76-79), tied for sixth at the SCIAC Championships (78-76-77) and led the Bulldogs to the programs' highest NCAA Division III National Championship finish (Runners-Up) by coming in a tie for seventh (75-72-71 | No. 21 in program history for single-round score-75).

Gabrielle Kiger (Hermosa Beach, CA) was the last Bulldog to be named an All-American Scholar.  She too has earned this recognition for the second straight year after combining for a 3.95 cumulative GPA, while majoring in Business Administration.  On the year she played 20 rounds averaging a 77.30 with a 5.08 Par 5 Scoring Average, a 3.29 Par 3 Scoring Average, and a 4.39 Par 4 Scoring Average.  At the conclusion of the season, she ranked No. 23 in the West Region and No. 74 nationally in Division III.   

She began her sophomore year tying for fifteenth at the CA State Intercollegiate, which included a 73 during her second round (76-73).  Then at the Redlands Fall Shootout she finished in a tie for eighth (75-73).  At the DIII National Preview she posted a 75, which was good enough for eleventh place, went fourteenth at SCIAC No. 1 (78-77), eleventh at the Westbrook Invite (73-76), sixteenth at the Bulldog Classic (78-76), finished fifth at SCIAC No. 2 (74-83), and took nineteenth at the SCIAC Championships (81-85-77).
