Talented Trio Reels in Postseason Awards for Redlands Women's Golf

Earlier today, the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the All-Region and All-America Teams for NCAA Division III, which include sophomore Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA), first-year Iris Liu (Diamond Bark, CA), and junior Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) from the University of Redlands.

Jugar represents the University of Redlands as a First-Team All-American and All-West Region selection, earning these honors in back-to-back years.  During the 2020-21 campaign, she posted a low round of 67, holed one eagle, and earned an average score of 75.20 through 15 rounds.  She won five tournaments, ranked third in the region, and finished 18th in the nation in the final statistical standings on GolfStat.

Liu completes her breakout rookie season with a Second-Team All-America nod and a spot on the All-West Region Team.  She finished tied-for-third in three tournaments this season, most recently at the NCAA Division III Championships.  While ranking second in the region and third in Division III on GolfStat, she tallied an average score of 77.73 over 11 rounds.  This effort was highlighted by a low of 74 during the third round of the national tournament.

Along with her All-West Region accolade, Nicholson earns All-America status for the second time in her career, with this year's award coming as an Honorable Mention.  Through 15 rounds in 2020-21, she posted an average score of 78.13, with a low round of 70 during her second-place run at the CLU Regals Invitational.  She also finished second at the SCIAC Championship Tournament and broke into the top 20 at the NCAA Championships.  She ranked fourth in the region and 17th in Division III on GolfStat's final report.

The Bulldog women's golf team completed the pandemic-challenged season with fourth-place showings at the NCAA Championships and on GolfStat's final Division III rankings.
