Redlands Women's Golf Remains at No. 1 on WGCA Poll

The No. 1 University of Redlands women's golf team remains at the top spot on the Women's Golf Coaches Association poll for the third straight announcement. The team combines for the lowest adjusted scoring average of 75.33.

Most recently, the Maroon and Gray won the Bulldog Classic which featured Cal Lutheran University, Chapman University, and UC Santa Cruz. Redlands won the tournament by 16 strokes and a two-day total of 596.

Sophomore Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) clinched individual medalist honors finishing Saturday's round with a two-under-par 70, followed by a one-over-par 73 on Sunday for a 36-hole score of 143. Due to her performance, Jugar was named Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Golfer of the Week for the second time this season.

Individually, Jugar takes the top spot in the Nation with an adjusted scoring average of 72.61. Five other Bulldogs rank amongst the top-10 in adjusted scoring average including first-year Iris Liu (Diamond Bar, CA) (76.39), senior Annie Hay (University Place, WA) (76.44), junior Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) (76.61), first-year Gabi Kiger (Hermosa Beach, CA) (76.94), and junior Malia Kiger (Hermosa Beach, CA) (78.27).
