No. 9 Redlands Women's Golf Impresses with Top-10 Finish at NCAA Championships

The No. 9 University of Redlands women's golf team shaved 18 strokes off of yesterday's performance to record a final round of 308 at the NCAA Division III Championships in Houston on Friday. The Bulldogs combined for 1,267 strokes through four rounds to finish in 10th place overall.

Senior Keilee Bessho (La Cañada, CA) saved her best round for last with a score of 74 to tally a score of 308.  She landed in a two-way tie for 13th place as the Bulldogs' highest finisher.  Bessho registered a pair of birdies on the back nine to start the day and then made par on eight out of nine holes on the front nine to climb seven spots on the individual leaderboard. Directly behind her in a three-way tie for 15th, sophomore Annie Hay (University Place, WA) moved up two spots to finish the tournament with a four-round tally of 309. She made par on 13 holes and sank a birdie on the 16th hole for a 76 during Friday's round.

First-year Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) dominated the day with her lowest round of the tournament at 73 in a solid showing that included three birdies.  With a 72-hole score of 319, she elevated 20 spots on the individual standings to tie for 47th place.

After dropping in a birdie on her final hole, sophomore Mariah Moon (La Quinta, CA) entered the clubhouse with an 86 for an overall score of 332 for 67th place. First-year Dana Condon (Palm Desert, CA) produced a round of 85 to finish the tournament with a final tally of 343 to take 74th.

In its first return to the national stage since 2016, Redlands concludes the season with a fine outing at the NCAA Championships.
