No. 9 U of R Women's Golf Advances to Final Day of NCAA Championships

The No. 9 University of Redlands women's golf team made the third-day cut of the NCAA Division III Championships by finishing Thursday's action with a 326 for 11th place with a total 959.  The top 15 teams remain in the tournament for the final round on Friday at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

While tapping in nine pars and one birdie, sophomore Annie Hay (University Place, WA) maintained her top-20 position on the leaderboard with today's round of 80. Through 54 holes, she is tied for 17th place with a score of 233.

Senior Keilee Bessho (La Cañada, CA) produced 10 pars on the day for an 82.  She sits in a tie for 21st place with a three-round total of 234.

First-year Kendall Nicholson (Bellevue, WA) posted a four-stroke improvement from yesterday by carding an 82, which included 10 pars.  Her total of 246 lands her in a tie for 67th place.  Sophomore Mariah Moon (La Quinta, CA) joins her in that tie after recording the same score as Nicholson for the third straight day.  Moon tapped in 10 pars during Thursday's round.

First-year Dana Condon (Palm Desert, CA) registered an 89 for a three-round tally of 258 to fall into a tie for 92nd place.

Redlands strives to make a strong push on the final day of the national tournament on Friday, May 17.  The Bulldogs tee off at 7:40 a.m. CDT.
