The University of Redlands women's golf team headed east to Peoria, AZ, for the George Fox University Westbrook Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.  Senior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) captured medalist honors at the 36-hole event, while the Bulldogs finished in eighth place as a team with a score of 649 (323-326).

Ordian was an example of consistency by earning rounds of 72 and 71 to win the tournament at one over par on the Westbrook Village Golf Course.

Outside of Ordian's three-stroke victory, the Bulldogs gained a tied-for-31st-place finish from first-year Annie Hay (University Place, WA), who signed her scorecard with a 166 (85-81).

First-years Elise Kiya (Palo Alto, CA) and Makayla Sugidono (Scottsdale, AZ) closely followed in a tie for 34th by shooting 170s.  Kiya provided the lowest round between them at 82, while Sugidono earned consistent scores of 84 and 86.

First-year Emily Duncan (Murrieta, CA) improved on day two by eliminating three strokes for an 88 en route to a 36-hole tally of 179.

Redlands looks forward to hosting the Bulldog Classic at Indian Springs Country Club in Indio on Monday, March 26, and Tuesday, March 27.
