Junior Caroline Ordian Finishes Opening Day of NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships Tied for 37th

Junior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) of the University of Redlands teed off in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships at the Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, TX, on Tuesday afternoon. Amidst rising temperatures and increased humidity, the defending national champion battled through a challenging 18 holes that resulted in a score of 80.

Ordian, who is currently ranked No. 3 on GolfStat, sits tied for 37th on the individual leaderboard with three rounds to go.  She started the day on the 10th hole and proceeded to hit par on nine of 18 holes.  She sits 11 strokes back of the leader from Williams College (MA).

Ordian looks to bounce back in tomorrow's NCAA round when she tees off on the first hole of the par-72 course at 9:35 a.m. CT.
