The No. 11 University of Redlands women's golf team competed in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) No. 1 at the San Dimas Golf Course on Friday and Saturday. Amidst tough conditions that included challenging pin placements and less-than-ideal weather, the Bulldogs posted a 36-hole total of 670 (338-332) to finish in second place.

Redlands currently sits 21 strokes behind Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in the conference's aggregate scoring through the first two rounds out of seven. In addition, the squad holds a seven-stroke lead on third-place Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.

Junior Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) highlighted Redlands' results with her second-place finish in the individual standings. After shooting an 83 on day one, she posted a better round of 80 for a total of 163.

Freshman Jasmine Hsu (Fremont, CA) produced solid results in her first showing against SCIAC opponents. Despite shooting an 89 on the first day, she showed great resiliency and focus by shaving off 10 strokes for a round-two total of 79 for a tied-for-seventh score of 168.

Senior Kari Gordon's (Culver City, CA) 36-hole tally of 173 (86-87) landed her in a tie for 16th place, while senior Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) signed her scorecard with a 179 (93-86) after knocking off seven strokes in the second round to tie for 26th.

The Bulldogs looks forward to traveling to Houston, TX, for the Mary-Hardin-Baylor Preview Tournament on March 13 and 14 at Bay Oaks Country Club.
