The 10th-ranked University of Redlands women's golf team battled it out against top NCAA Division II opponents at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, earning a two-round total of 658 to finish in a tie for 12th overall.  As the only Division III team, the Bulldogs faced 12 Division II schools with rankings among the nation's top 50 in women's golf, including three among the top 15, during the high-caliber event at the Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Course.

Sophomore Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) led the Maroon and Gray with her tied-for-15th-place finish that came off of rounds of 75 and 81.  She notched five birdies during the tournament.

Senior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) and junior Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) finished among the top 60 at the event, with respective scores of 165 and 166.  Dorsey shaved six strokes off of her opening-day score by entering the clubhouse on Tuesday with an 80.  Gordon provided rounds of 82 and 84 as the Bulldogs' No. 3 golfer.

Junior Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) and senior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) completed the Bulldogs' scoring five, with respective two-day totals of 171 (85-86) and 182 (93-89).

In addition, junior Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) competed as an individual, registering rounds of 93 and 85.

Redlands women's golf returns to familiar territory on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3, when it competes in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament No. 2 at South Hills Golf Course in West Covina.
