Redlands Women’s Golf Battles to Remain in the Top Five at the NCAA Championships

The University of Redlands women's golf team took to the El Campeon Golf Course for the third time this week, competing in the second-to-last day of its first-ever NCAA Division III Championships.  While providing consistency in their performance, the Bulldogs matched their day-two total of 333 for an overall score of 980 to slip into a tie for fifth place among the team standings.

Redlands is six strokes behind fourth-place University of Texas – Tyler but 30 strokes off of the leaders from Williams College (MA).

Freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) led the Bulldogs with a team-low 77 on day three to equal a 54-hole total of 277, which keeps her in a tie for second place just three strokes behind the top golfer. She notched 13 pars on the day to continue her lead at the tournament with 41 on the week.

Senior Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) finished off her round with her tournament-best score of 79. Meade started off strong, as she was one-under through the first six holes. She ended her day on a high note by paring the last three holes. Through day three, Meade owns a total stroke count of 248 to land her tied for 33rd overall.

Junior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) signed her scorecard with an 87, which included two birdies and four pars. She currently sits tied for 45th with a 54-hole total of 253.

Sophomore Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) and junior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) posted rounds of 90 and 93, respectively.

Redlands returns to the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort for the final round of the NCAA Championships on Friday, beginning with a 12:15 p.m. ET tee time on the first hole.
