No. 17 Redlands Women's Golf Finishes Fourth against Quality Field at Las Vegas Desert Classic

The No. 17 University of Redlands women's golf team took on formidable competition at the Las Vegas Desert Classic on Sunday, March 1, and Monday, March 2, at the Paiute Golf Club.  With consistency and skill, the Bulldogs took fourth with a 36-hole tally of 639, with freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) leading the team with her tied-for-fifth-place score of 153.

Ordian registered rounds of 77 and 76 while knocking in 19 pars and five birdies.  She tied for second among the field with an even score on the par-three holes. 

Junior Amberlynn Dorsey (Highland, CA) completed the competition with a score of 162 (80-82) to tie for 21st overall, while junior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) finished right behind her at 163 (83-80) to take 23rd.  Pautsch converted 18 pars over the course of the two-day event.   

In addition, sophomore Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) posted a top-25 showing at the tournament with her 36-hole score of 166 (82-84). 

Furthermore, senior Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) improved upon her opening-day round of 88, which placed her in a tie for 42nd, by shaving off nine strokes to finish 15 spots higher with a total of 167.

Redlands next heads to Peoria, Arizona, for the George Fox Westbrook Invitational on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15.
