U of R Women’s Golf Places Fifth in Cal State San Marcos Fall Classic

The University of Redlands women's golf team continued its 2014-15 journey on Monday and Tuesday by participating in the Cal State San Marcos Fall Classic at the Twins Oak Golf Course in San Marcos. The Bulldogs placed fifth in a mix of competitors that featured NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA schools.

Freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) led the way for the Maroon and Gray by tying for third place overall with a 36-hole total of 151 (76-75). Throughout the Classic, Ordian nailed four birdies and 22 pars en route to her solid finish. Furthermore, she boasted a mark of 2-under when tackling par-five holes.

Senior Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) finished tied for 22nd place by signing her scorecard with an overall mark of 167 (79-88). In addition, she knocked in pars in half of the holes during the event.

Junior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) followed closely behind with an overall score of 169 (77-92), placing her tied-for-27th amongst the field of competition.

Sophomores Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) and Kari Gordon (Culver City, CA) rounded out the contributors for the Maroon and Gray, posting 36-hole totals of 174 (94-80) and 183 (94-89), respectively.

Redlands returns to action on Monday, February 9, when it competes in the PLNU Super San Diego Championships, held at the Riverwalk Golf Course in San Diego.
