U of R Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at Sonoma State Invitational

The University of Redlands women's golf program began its 2014-15 campaign on Sunday and Monday by competing in the Sonoma State Invitational in Rohert Park. The Bulldogs finished ninth in a field that consisted of NCAA Division II, II, and NAIA competitors.

Freshman Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) began her collegiate career with a bang by tying for ninth after compiling a two-round score of 152 (80-72) with a strong second-day showing. She shot even on the par-three holes en route to recording 25 pars in all. Her final mark was a mere four strokes off of a top-three finish in her Bulldog debut.

Junior McKenna Pautsch (San Clemente, CA) and senior Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) tied for 37th place overall, with each tallying a score of 167.

Sophomore Jenna Durette (Oceanside, CA) signed her scorecard with a consistent mark of 169 (84-85), earning her 41st place, while sophomore Raquel Gordon (Culver City, CA) closely followed with a 36-hole total of 173 (8-86) to tie for 46th.

The Bulldogs continue the fall portion of the season by competing in the Cal State San Marcos Fall Classic on Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4, at the Twins Oaks Golf Course.
