REDLANDS, Calif. – University of Redlands Head Women's Basketball Coach Rich Murphy announced an addition to his coaching staff Monday for the 2022-23 schoolyear bringing on Margo Koby.
Margo joins the University of Redlands following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at Colorado Christian University (CCU) in Lakewood, Colorado.
Koby graduated from Covenant College in Georgia with a Bachelor's in Community Development along with a minor in Sociology in 2020. She then earned her Masters in Public Administration in 2022 from Colorado Christian University.
While with the CCU basketball program Koby handled all duties pertaining to scouting, recruiting, social media, and team travel.
As a player at Covenant, Koby played in 56 games in three seasons. She averaged 6.9 points per game (PPG), 5.3 rebounds per game (RPG), and shot 76% from the free throw line. In her third and final season, Koby set career-highs in PPG (9.7) and RPG (7.4), all while registering her first 13 career three-point field goals made.
Koby joins Ashley Lona and Kaden Norton on head coach Rich Murphy's coaching staff. The Bulldogs are set to open their season on November 12 during the Chapman Tip-Off Classic when they take on Macalester.
