Senior Guard Cassandra Lacey and Head Coach Rich Murphy Garner D3hoops.com All-West Region Awards

After leading her team to the second round of the 2020 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament for the first time in University of Redlands women's basketball history, D3hoops.com named senior guard Cassandra Lacey (Victorville, CA) to the All-West Region Second Team. In addition, 13th-year Head Coach Rich Murphy was named the West Region Coach of the Year.

The All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) First-Team member and SCIAC Player of the Year finished the season with 11.8 points per game. In addition to her scoring abilities, she also set up her teammates for success with a team-high 2.3 assists per game. Lacey also co-led the team with 0.9 steals per game, while pulling in 4.3 rebounds per contest.

Highlighting Lacey's senior year, she scored a season-high 26 points in a 70-62 triumph over No. 8 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. During a large stretch of the regular season, Lacey scored at least 13 points in nine consecutive SCIAC games. The streak began with a dominant double-double of 15 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in a 71-54 win over Cal Lutheran University. She also eclipsed the 1,000th point mark in a 62-48 win over Chapman University.

Murphy added his 200th-win and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament to his list of accolades in his 13th year. He matched his most wins in a season with 22 and locked down the elusive double championship within SCIAC competition.
