Tucker Cargile named SCIAC Track Athlete of the Week

SCIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Release No. 9

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week in the ninth week of voting and University of Redlands senior mid-distance runner Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) was named the SCIAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second straight week. 

Tucker led the University of Redlands Track & Field teams at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite over the weekend with his efforts in the 800-meter run.  Cargile clocked a winning time of 1:48.89 in the race, which ranks him No. 1 in Division III this season, No. 2 in Division III SCIAC history, No. 12 in Division III history and currently holds the University of Redlands school record.   

Tucker looks to carry this momentum into Wednesday & Friday, April 13-15 when he competes at the Brian Clay Invitational.
