SCIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Release No. 6
REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week in the sixth week of voting and University of Redlands junior Owen Schmitz (Fremont, CA) was selected as the Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.
Schmitz helped Redlands in the field events during the Bulldogs Invitational as he won the Triple Jump with a mark of 13.52 meters. He also competed in the High Jump finishing 7th clearing a height of 1.70-meters and the Javelin placing 11th with a throw of 30.76-meters.
Redlands gears up for the second SCIAC Multi-Dual, which will take place Saturday, April 2, hosted by Occidental.
