The University of Redlands women's track & field team received confirmation that five individuals have qualified for the 2021 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships, which take place Thursday, May 27, through Saturday, May 29.  Senior Hannah Albrecht (Cottage Grove, OR), senior Andrea Lyon (Danville, CA), junior Courtney O'Neal (Las Vegas, NV), sophomore Alexandra Ackerman (Lake Elsinore, CA), and first-year Sydney Harness (Henderson, NV) are headed to Irwin Belk Track in Greensboro, North Carolina, to represent the Bulldogs at the national meet.

While ranking second in the West Region, Albrecht qualifies in the Heptathlon with a score of 4,569 points as the 12th seed.  Her career-best total came at the recent Redlands Final Qualifier and sends her to nationals for the second time in her career.  She previously competed in the 4x100 Relay in 2019 before the pandemic denied any opportunities in 2020.

With the fastest time in the West Region, Lyon enters her first NCAA Championships as the 17th seed in the 400 with a time of 57.12, which she ran at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Multi-Dual on April 17.

Lyon also looks forward to teaming up with O'Neal, Ackerman, and Harness in the 4x100 Relay.  As the 14th seed, the quartet owns a qualifying time of 47.70 from the Redlands Final Qualifier, which places them atop the regional standings.  O'Neal heads to the NCAA Championships for the second time in her career, following her appearance with Albrecht in the 4x100 in 2019.

The top 19 declared student-athletes for individual events and the top 14 declared relays (one per institution) were invited to the NCAA Championships.  A complete list of the competing student-athletes is available at the NCAA's timing website.  Results will be posted here as well.
