Ramirez and Cargile Reset School Records for Indoor Track and Field at BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational

Senior Maria Ramirez (Orange, CA) and junior Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) of the University of Redlands women's and men's track & field teams flew to Boston, Massachusetts, to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The duo put together a pair of historic results while competing at Boston University's Indoor Track and Tennis Center.

Ramirez fired off a time of 17:46.20 in the 5000 Meters to take 10th at the high-caliber meet. This superb time now resets the Redlands indoor track and field record in the 5000.

Cargile also impressed placing 20th and resetting the school's indoor record in the 800 Meters. He crossed the finish line in 1:51.83, which ranks him second in all of NCAA Division III.

The team looks forward to competing in the Northern Arizona University Tune-Up Meet on Friday, February 21, at 3 p.m.
