Senior Luke Bohlinger Represents Redlands on CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for Track & Field/Cross Country

As a result of his strong academics and outstanding athletic accomplishments, senior Luke Bohlinger (Mercer Island, WA) was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's Track & Field/Cross Country Team for NCAA Division III, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).  This honor adds to an already-impressive list of accolades he has earned throughout his four-year career at the University of Redlands.

Bohlinger most recently became an All-American for the fourth time by running on the Bulldogs' eighth-place 4x100 Relay at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio.  Despite suffering an injury the day before, he battled through to complete the relay for All-America honors.

In addition, the 2019 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Track Athlete of the Year defended his title in the 100 Meters (10.62) and 200 Meters (21.38) and ran on the first-place relay that clocked a time of 41.45 at the conference championships.  That same quartet fired off a remarkable time of 40.97 to qualify for the final of the NCAA Championships and rank fourth all-time in Redlands' history.

Overall, Bohlinger owns eight All-SCIAC awards and 11 All-Region nods.  He also was named the Frank Serrao Senior Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year earlier this spring.

Also a champion in the classroom, Bohlinger completed his degree in Political Science in April as a member of the Dean's List and three-time SCIAC All-Academic Team representative, with this year's accolades still pending.  In addition, his scholarly success landed him among the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association's All-Academic Team.

Bohlinger is eligible for possible CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, which will be announced in late June.

Bohlinger is one of 10 honorees for District 8 and one of two selections from the SCIAC.
