Bulldog Track & Field Competes at Mountain T’s Invitational

Five University of Redlands track & field competitors traveled to Northern Arizona University over the weekend and competed against some of the best competition from around the world at the Mountain T's Invitational. 

Junior Maddie Smith (Hoquiam, WA) shined for the Maroon and Gray in the Walkup Skydome, tying for sixth overall in the High Jump and clearing a mark of 5' 5".  The height now ranks 16th overall for Division-III Indoor competitors nationally.

In addition, junior Alexandra Blalock (Indian Wells, CA) took 13th overall in the same event after clearing a height of 5' 1".

In the men's High Jump, senior Darron Usher (Rialto, CA) tied for seventh by registering a mark of 6' 2 ¾".

In the Pole Vault, junior Merritt ten Hope (Phoenix, AZ) and senior Chris Bode (Elk, WA) competed in the women's and men's events, respectively, but neither was able to clear their initial height.

Redlands returns to early-season action on February 22 when it heads to Claremont for the Rossi Relays.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
