SCIAC Swimming & Diving Weekly Release No. 1

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week in the first week of voting, and University of Redlands First-Year Breaststroker Ethan Chir (Las Vegas, NV) was named the SCIAC Swimmer of the Week for the first time in his career.    

Ethan in his first meet with the University of Redlands impressed as he led the men to a win during the Bulldog Pentathlon.  The team combined for 3325.5 points beating Chapman University, Occidental College, Whittier College, University of La Verne, and Westcliff University.  Chir won the 100 Breast (1:01.55) and 100 Back (56.17) and earned a 7th-place finish in the 100 IM (56.34).  

Redlands gets their first taste of conference action this Saturday, November 5 when they travel to take on the University of La Verne beginning at 1 pm.
