SCIAC Athlete of the Week (Oct. 18)

In his return to college swimming after 2 and a half years away, Walker won the 100 Back (53.69) with a career best time, 100 Breast (57.95), 100 Fly (51.85) with another career best time, and 100 IM (52.54) in a third career best time; he added career best in the 100 Free (49.20) and 50 Fly (24.49) at the Bulldog Pentathlon (Oct. 16) ... In his second meet back he won the 100 Breast (58.09), 200 Breast (2:06.57), 200 IM (1:58.38) at the Redlands vs. La Verne vs. Biola (Nov. 6) tri-meet ... Came in second and third, respectively, in the 1000 Free (10:14.77) and 200 Back (1:59.25) at the Redlands vs. Pomona-Pitzer (Nov. 13) meet ... At the Logger Invite (Dec. 3-5), Walker took home second-place finishes in the 50 Breast (26.78), 200 Breast (2:05.65), and 400 IM (4:12.30); he also was third in the 200 IM (1:55.73) and fourth in the 100 Breast (57.67) ... Continued his winning at the Caltech vs. Occidental vs. Redlands (Jan. 22) meet with top finishes in the 100 Back (53.35) which was a new career best time and the 200 Back (1:59.40) ... Won the 50 Back (24.75), with another new career best time, and the 400 IM (4:13.52) at the Redlands vs. Chapman (Jan. 29) dual ...  Added a win in the 100 Fly (51.93) at the tri-meet between Redlands vs. Cal Lutheran vs. Whittier (Feb. 5) ... Then to conclude the season at the SCIAC Championships (Feb. 16-19), Walker posted career best times in the 100 Free (47.57) and 200 IM (1:50.45 | 3rd), and added a fifth place finish in the 200 Breast (2:03.53) and eighth in the 400 IM (4:07.22).

Opened his collegiate career at the Bulldog Pentathlon (Oct. 20) with a win in the 100 Breast (1:00.07), second place in the 100 IM (55.13), and third in the 100 Fly (53.65) ... Won the 200 Breast (2:09.75) and 200 IM (2:01.35) at the Redlands vs. La Verne (Nov. 10 ) meet ... Came in second in the 100 Breast (1:00.63) and third in the 400 IM (4:19.85) at the Pomona-Pitzer vs. Redlands (Nov. 17) ... Won the 200 Breast (2:09.40) and 200 IM (1:59.71) at the Redlands vs. Caltech vs. Chapman (Jan. 12) meet ... Swept the 100 Breast (1:00.56), 200 Breast (2:14.70), and the 400 IM (4:17.33) at the Occidental vs. Redlands (Feb. 2) dual ... At the Whittier vs. Cal Lutheran vs. Redlands (Feb. 9) meet, Walker won the 200 Breast (2:08.39) ... To conclude his season, Walker swam a career best in two events: 50 Breast (27.56) and 400 IM (4:04.52 | 6th) and finished in the top-10 in another two events: 200 Breast (2:03.71 | 4th) and 200 IM (1:53.38 | 6th).
