Sami Scarano Tops the Podium with First-Place Finish off the 3-Meter Board at the 2020 NCAA Diving Regionals

On Saturday morning, senior Sami Scarano (Boulder, CO) returned to Hixon Natatorium on the campus of Trinity University in San Antonio, TX for day two of the 2020 NCAA Diving Regionals.

After taking third-place on the 1-meter board yesterday, Scarano set her eyes on the prize for a gold-medal finish off the 3-meter board with a first-place score of 386.55.

Scarano edged out Pomona-Pitzer's Emma van der Veen by 4.6 points.

She recently took third off the 3-meter dive at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships with a score of 389.85.

Scarano continues her already successful season at the 2020 NCAA DIII Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina from Wednesday, March 18 to Saturday, March 21.
