Senior Wendy McAleer Headed to NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships

It was announced on Wednesday that senior Wendy McAleer (Simi Valley, CA) will represent the University of Redlands at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, which take place on Wednesday, March 20, through Saturday, March 23, at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in North Carolina.

In just her second season swimming for the Bulldogs, McAleer enters the national meet in the 100 Fly with a qualifying time 55.94 for 15th on the psych sheet. She swam that NCAA "B" time during the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships for third place. 

In addition, McAleer will compete in the 200 Fly and 200 Individual Medley.  During the SCIAC meet, she posted a time of 2:06.27 in the 200 Fly for third place and swam a 2:10.91 in the 200 IM for eighth place, both of which registered as season-best marks.
