Redlands Swimming & Diving Impresses in the Classroom with CSCAA Scholar All-America Selection

It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands men's and women's swimming & diving teams reached Scholar All-America status for the 2018 fall semester, as determined by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).  The Bulldogs join more than 700 teams from 460 institutions in NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA divisions to receive this distinction.

In order to earn this honor, teams must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 or higher and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.

The 32 Bulldog women impressed in the classroom with a combined mark of 3.67 as one of 171 NCAA Division III women's teams to be recognized.  The 28 Redlands men owned a combined team GPA of 3.16 as one of 118 men's programs from Division III to receive the award for the fall.

Both of Head Coach Leslie Whittemore's teams also garnered this scholarly achievement during the fall and spring semesters of 2017-18.

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) landed all nine men's programs and all nine women's programs among the CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams.
