Senior Jeff Depew Breaks School Record in 400 IM with All-America Swim at NCAA Championships

Senior Jeff Depew (Naperville, IL) of the University of Redlands bettered another school record during his solid showing at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, firing off a career-best time in the 400 Individual Medley on Thursday in Shenandoah, TX.

Depew strapped on his cap to uncork a blistering time of 3:51.96 in his preliminary race, breaking his previous school record of 3:53.77, which he set in 2014. During this afternoon's final, he pumped out an impressive time of 3:52.30 to take fifth, moving him up from 14th in the seeding. In addition, he garners yet another All-America nod to add to his illustrious collection.

Next up, the decorated senior competes in the 200 Fly on Friday, March 20, at the Conroe ISD Natatorium. He enters the event with the third-fastest qualifying time in all of NCAA Division III at 1:47.58.  Fans may follow along through the NCAA's live stream.
