SCIAC Softball Weekly Release No. 9

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Softball Athletes of the Week in the ninth week of voting and University of Redlands senior first baseman Tyesen Gordon (Lathrop, CA) was named the SCIAC Hitter of the Week for the second time this season.

Gordon led the Maroon and Grey to a 3-1 week over a pair of Northwest Conference opponents that featured a split with Willamette University (10-11 & 5-4) and a sweep over Lewis & Clark (10-7 & 8-7).  Across the four games Gordon hit .533 with eight hits, six runs scored, four doubles, a triple, and a walk-off homerun in the bottom of the seventh of game two against Willamette. She also drove in seven runs and stole a base. She registered a .533 on-base percentage, and a 1.133 slugging percentage. 

Redlands returns to the diamond tomorrow, Tuesday, March 29 when they host DePauw University for a single game beginning at 3:00pm.
