Talented Bulldog Trio Selected to NCAA Men's Tennis Championships for Singles and Doubles

The 2019 season continues for three members of the No. 21 University of Redlands men's tennis team, as senior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA), sophomore Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA), and junior Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) have been selected as individual qualifiers for the NCAA Division III Championships.  Lipscomb will compete in singles, while Libao and Cummins enter the doubles tournament.

The singles and doubles portion of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships take place May 24-26 at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Kalamazoo College will serve as the host.

Among the pool of 32 qualifiers, Lipscomb is one of seven singles players from the West Region to advance to the NCAA Championships.  This marks the third appearance at the national tournament for the two-time All-American.  This season, Lipscomb owns an 11-8 singles record in dual matches at theNo. 1 spot.  In addition, he recently advanced to the final of the Ojai Tournament with impressive wins over regional foes.

Libao and Cummins represent the West as one of just three doubles duos to be selected among the 16 total teams.  They each make their inaugural appearance at the NCAA Individual Championships.  While playing No. 1, they have put together a 15-2 record in dual matches this season, which includes an undefeated run through conference competition.
