The No. 22 University of Redlands men's tennis team swept the visiting Boxers of Pacific University (OR) in Friday's non-conference showdown on Verdieck Courts.  The Bulldogs stormed out to a 3-0 lead with quality scores in the doubles matches before registering straight-set wins at every singles slot.

First-years Thomas Reznik (Belmont, CA) and Andrew Yip (Honolulu, HI) set the tone early with their 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles, while senior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) and junior Andrew Leahy (Claremont, CA) followed suit with an 8-4 performance on the third court.  Sophomore Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA) and junior Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) completed the doubles sweep by earning an 8-4 win over their No. 1 counterparts.

In singles, it was much of the same, as Cummins held his No. 4 foe scoreless for Redlands' 4-0 lead.  Reznik officially put this one in the books with his 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3.

Lipscomb, Libao, Yip, and Leahy also recorded positive results in singles to preserve the shutout.

Redlands (7-3) begins its Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) slate on Saturday, March 30, by hosting the No. 21 Caltech Beavers in a 10 a.m. match on Verdieck Courts.
