The 11th-ranked University of Redlands men's tennis team jumped back in the win column on Saturday by topping the No. 13 Tigers of Trinity University (TX) for the second time this season, with this one coming in the consolation semifinal of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Indoor National Championships in Saint Peter, MN.  After sweeping the doubles, the Bulldogs captured five of the six singles matches to prevail by a score of 8-1.

First-year Cameron Krimbill (Scottsdale, AZ) and senior Cooper Lacetera (Westhampton Beach, NY) put Redlands on the board with their 8-4 victory at the No. 3 spot in doubles.  The top tandem of senior Joey Dulle (St. Louis, MO) and sophomore Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) kept things rolling with a hard-fought 8-6 win for the Bulldogs' 2-0 lead.

Down 4-7, junior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) and first-year Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA) faced a significant uphill battle at the No. 2 slot.  Nonetheless, the dynamic duo battled back to win the next four games for the epic comeback, 8-7(1).

Now leading 3-0, the Bulldogs had all of the momentum and plenty of energy for singles.

However, Trinity managed to cut the deficit with a win at No. 4.  Not to be deterred, Redlands looked to Libao to knock off his No. 5 opponent, 6-4, 6-3 and stretch the Maroon and Gray's lead to 4-1.  Lipscomb sealed the deal on this exciting victory with his 7-5, 6-1 showing at the No. 1 slot.

In addition, Dulle, Krimbill, and Cummins each recorded singles wins for the Bulldogs.

Redlands (5-2) plays the winner of the tonight's match between No. 10 Carnegie Mellon University (PA) and No. 16 Gustavus Adolphus College (MN) in Sunday's consolation championship.
