Bulldog Duo Represents Men's Tennis among the Oracle/ITA National Singles Rankings

It was announced earlier today that two members of the University of Redlands men's tennis team are among the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Men's National Singles Rankings.

After winning the ITA Fall Regional Singles Championship in nearby Claremont, junior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) sits at No. 5 in the nation.  He went on to finish fifth at the 2017 ITA Oracle Cup, which featured the singles champions from each of the regional competitions.  The two-time ITA All-American enters the 2018 spring season as the team's No. 1 singles player with plenty of experience and momentum to build upon.  Last year, he was named to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) First Team and qualified for the NCAA Individual Singles Championships.

In addition, freshman Cameron Krimbill (Scottsdale, AZ) lands among the NCAA Division III's best singles players with a national ranking of No. 42.  During the fall tournament, he made his way to the quarterfinals with wins over quality opponents from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges before falling to hist teammate, Lipscomb.

Lipscomb, Krimbill, and the Bulldog men's tennis team look forward to competing in a pair of exhibition matches on Saturday, February 3, before traveling to Walla Walla, Washington, on February 9-10.
