Ten singles players and five doubles tandems represented the University of Redlands men's tennis team at the 2015 Fall Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) West Regional Small College Championships throughout the weekend at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.

Highlighting the event for the Maroon and Gray, freshman Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) made his way into the quarterfinals of the main singles draw with solid wins.  He opened the tournament with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Kalvan Chadalavada of Pomona-Pitzer, before notching a 6-4, 6-2 triumph against eighth-seeded Alexander Brenner of CMS.  Finally, he took down Pomona-Pitzer's Joshua Gearou, who was seeded ninth, in an impressive 6-0, 6-0 performance.

Sophomore Joey Dulle (St. Louis, MO) also posted quality results by bouncing back from a first-round loss to make it to the quarterfinals of the consolation draw.  He defeated Joshua Sarsfield of Chapman University by scores of 3-6, 6-0, 7-6 (7), before cruising to a 6-3, 6-2 win over Caltech's Zixia Li.

Furthermore, the Bulldogs registered first-round wins by freshman Adrian Nilsson-Redman (Irvine, CA) and sophomore Cooper Lacetera (Westhampton Beach, NY).  Freshman Sawyer Patterson (Burbank, CA), freshman Michael Adler (Sarasota, FL), and senior Collin Black (Davidson, NC) each collected a win in the first-round consolation draw.

In the main doubles draw, Dulle and freshman Bryant Johnson (Fair Oaks, CA) combined forces for an excellent weekend in the duo's first tournament together, earning a spot in the main draw's semifinals.  After a first-round default, they tallied an 8-6 win over the second-seeded team of Jonathan Kim and Yasgoor from Pomona-Pitzer.  Dulle and Johnson then held off Sean Hollister and Chad LeDuff of UC Santa Cruz for a 9-8(5) triumph and a spot in the semifinals.

Redlands opens its spring schedule on Saturday, February 6, with a doubleheader on Verdieck Courts.  The Bulldogs host Linfield College (OR) at 10 a.m., followed by a 2 p.m. match against Point Loma Nazarene University.
