SCIAC Men's Soccer Weekly Release No. 3

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week in the third week of voting and University of Redlands junior defender Skylar Darwen (Los Angeles, CA) was selected as the Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career. 

Darwen anchored a back line that recorded a pair of shutouts last week as the University of Redlands played 2021 SCIAC Regular Season Champions Claremont-Mudd-Scripps to a scoreless tie, while defeating Caltech 5-0. The Bulldogs defense surrendered just six shots on goal between both games, while Darwen also notched the first goal of his career against the Beavers to break the game open in the 51st minute with Redlands' third tally.

Redlands returns to the pitch Wednesday night, September 21 when they host Occidental College beginning at 7:00pm.
