On September 28, 2019, the University of Redlands men's soccer team impressed with a 5-0 win over Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) showdown on Farquhar Field. It was a significant game of the season in multiple ways, including one that stands out in junior Steve Acuña's mind.

As the first in our Redlands Rewind series, Acuña shares his perspective about the most memorable game of his Bulldog career thus far.

"This game is memorable to me because we came together collectively as a team after losing two home games leading up to this one. With the 5-0 win, we sent a message. Everyone was having a great game and it was a good way to give Coach Ralph his 200th win at Redlands." 

Seven different players contributed goals and/or assists in the high-scoring victory.

The Bulldog men's soccer team went on to earn a 10-5-3 overall record and an 8-2-2 mark in conference action for second place, just three points or one win out of first. In addition, Redlands advanced to the SCIAC Postseason Tournament for the 12th time in 13 years and produced multiple achievements along the way.
