Seniors Arman Mogharei and Kayvon Parsa Garner First-Team All-West Region Recognition

It was announced today that senior midfielder Arman Mogharei (Hayward, CA) and senior forward Kayvon Parsa (West Hills, CA) represent the University of Redlands men's soccer program among the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-West Region First Team.  Both Bulldogs receive this distinction for the first time in their careers.

During his senior campaign, Mogharei scored a career-high four goals, two of which served as game-winners in the Bulldogs' wins over Chapman University in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action. Mogharei provided leadership both as a team captain and as a facilitator of the midfield throughout the Maroon and Gray's 13-5 season.  His tenacity, work ethic, and vision of the field were crucial to the team's success.  This elite honor complements his recent First-Team All-SCIAC selection.

While also gaining his inaugural All-West Region award, Parsa capped off a renowned career with a career-high 26 points on 12 goals and two assists as the team's primary offensive weapon in 2018.  He was among the conference's best, as highlighted by a SCIAC-leading six game-winners. His strongest game of the year came in a 3-0 victory over in-region foe, UC Santa Cruz, during which he registered his second-career hat-trick. With his flourishing performances, Parsa landed on the All-Conference First Team for the third time in his career.

Redlands was the only SCIAC school to earn two First-Teamers on the All-West Region squad.
